From 70’s dated to modern and highly rated. This renovation has been a labour of love for me as I’ve transformed my mum’s kitchen and bathroom slowly over the last 12 months.

The bathroom wasn’t working for mum anymore, not suited to person(s) with mobility issues. This tiny space was revived when we removed the wall between the bathroom and the laundry/toilet to create a much bigger bathroom with all amenities in the one room. Instead of a standard corner shower we decided to tile the bathroom (floor to ceiling) and installed a stepless shower the full width of the room – with enough room to swing a few cats!

In the kitchen we ripped out the old 70’s style cabinetry and replaced it with modern cabinetry, bench top and brand new appliances. We re-tiled the splash back in fresh white and re-tiled the entire floor from the bathroom and hallway right through the kitchen. This really tied the rooms together and has inspired mum to continue the renovation throughout the rest of the house.

It’s still a work in progress but you can watch it all unfold here …
